Paint Metal Dining Room Chairs

Starting with painting Metal dining room chairsMove your chairs to a large, well-ventilated area, e.g. B. on your terrace or in your garage. Protect your floor, furniture or walls nearby with the collection cloths. Remove any pillows or pads. Check under the chair that the seat cushions are screwed in and unscrew them if necessary. If pads or pillows cannot be removed, protect them by covering them with plastic bags and painter’s tape. Put on old clothes, protective glasses and a dust mask. Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Paint the preparations, refine the finished grate, or peel it off with a stiff wire brush. If the chairs don’t rust and peel off, run the wire brush through. Sand your chair with an electric palm sander. Use a heavy medium-grain sandpaper first if there are a lot of chips and scratches on the surface of your chairs. Finish with a pass of fine sandpaper. If the surfaces of the chairs are in good shape, go straight to the fine-grain sandpaper.

Clean your chairs well with an ammonia-based window cleaner and cloth. Spray and clean from top to bottom, including bottom. Enter any crevices or folds with a cotton swab or old toothbrush. Let air dry.
